General Meeting Minutes

Thorntree C.C., August 13, 2008
President Chris Duncan called the meeting to order. Minutes from the July meeting had been posted on the web site, so were not read; President Duncan announced that since there had been no corrections or revisions, the minutes were approved as written. The Treasurer reported a balance on hand as of June 30 of $610.95 plus receipts and less disbursements left a balance of $691.75 as of July 31; there were no questions or corrections.
President Duncan thanked Club Manager John Lewis and Pro Steve Brown, Ladies Golf Association President Sondra Swan, and CTWGA representative Joyce Libbey.
First time players were recognized and presented one golf ball each.
There was an announcement of the Lady Thornbird to be held October 7-9; invitations were available to anyone who is interested.
Next playday will be Glen Garden on September 10, 2008.
Mable Peruta reminded players that playday cards should be turned in before players go to their cars to put away golf clubs in order to speed up the scoring and business meeting.
