President Karen William called the meeting to order. She acknowledged all of the participants. Karen gave a special thanks to the Lake Kiowa rep., Mary Pliler . Her assistants included, Miriam Beebe, LGA President. Ann Laure and Ruth Robinson helped with organizing carts. Sharon Hey, Joan Carroll and Nancy Bryant assisted with decorations. The tee decorations were given as door prizes to lucky winners. The head pro, Brown McCrory , and superintendent, Dennis Tacquigny were recognized for all of their help and effort in organizing the play day.

Minutes from the meeting of June 9th, were posted and approved with no corrections or additions. Treasurer, Diane Kirwan, read the report. The ending balance was $1,391.43.

Karen addressed two very important issues. The first concerned posting Central Texas play day scores as an away score and posting the championship scores as a tournament score. There was some discussion of the matter. The second issue concerned the revision of the dress code in the General Rules. The change was approved and states the following:

#13. Golf Attire: participants in Central Texas must wear proper country club attire. Shorts/shorts must be a minimum of fingertip length. Shirts must have sleeves or a collar. All clothing should be in good tasted befitting a lady of a county club. Halter tops, tank tops, strapless tops, tennis attire, jogging shorts, jeans or jean shorts or excessively tight clothing is not acceptable attire.

Pat Davis announced the winners of each flight. Low gross over the field was Dianne Roberts, Trophy Club and Mable Samples, Lake Kiowa was the low net of the field.

The next playday will be August 11th at Rolling Hills County Club.
