General Meeting Minutes

Denton C.C., April 8, 2009
President Gayle Robinson called the meeting to order at 2:15 p.m. She reported that we added 2 new people to the board and will need three more for 2010. She asked that everyone consider serving. Gail thanked Karen Williams for stepping in and serving in place of Mabel Peruta on short notice.
Gayle noted that it was a gorgeous golf course and day. She thanked golf pro David Foster and also all those responsible for the wonderful food. A special thank you went to Denton CC LGA President Edna Pitts and CTWGA representative Jo Mather for the great playday.
Gayle said that the minutes from the November, 2008 meeting were on the web site and if there were any discrepancies please let her know.
Diane Kirwan gave the Treasurer’s Report. The balance as of December 1, 2008 was $1400.83. There was a deposit of $680.00 (dues from 34 clubs) and disbursements of $367.85. This leaves a balance as of April 8th, 2009 of $1712.98.
President Robinson reminded everyone that our next playday will be on May 13th at Holly Lake Golf Club in Holly Lake Ranch, Texas.
Seven first time players were recognized and presented a golf ball each.
The results of the playday at Denton Country Club were presented by Pat Davis.
Overall Gross winner was Terri Widmer, Denton - 78
Overall Net winner was Mary Ann McKenzie, Hideaway - 58
The books were distributed to club representatives. It was noted that only a few will be given to each club.
President Gayle Robinson adjourned the meeting at 2:45.
